Enabling metalloenzyme biotransformations within a continuous oscillatory baffled reactor

This project investigates the possibility of producing a high value chemical using proprietary enzymes in a COBR. The scientific objectives are to understand the kinetics and study the parameters affecting kinetics and conversion of a biotransformation reaction. The technological goal is to be able to produce this chemical continuously in a reliable, robust, controlled and predictable manner.

Mohamed obtained his MSc degree in Process Systems Engineering, Cranfield University, UK; his first degree in Chemical Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
