Suspension polymerisation in a COBR

This project investigates the possibility of producing polymer particles by suspension polymerisation in a COBR. The scientific objectives are to understand the effects of mixing, temperature, concentration of reactants on reaction kinetics, conversion, droplet/particle size distribution and molar mass distribution. The goals of this project are to establish reaction kinetics and parameters affecting kinetics in a model reaction and to develop a reliable and repeatable polymerisation process that could be utilized by industry.
